Let the Buttons begin!

Hi!

I am so excited for Button's Up. Like Julie wrote, the idea began with my wedding. I've never been a big fan of flowers, I enjoy the occasional bouquet from Jeff on a special occasion, but overall I don't like how their beauty is so temporary. But, buttons are forever! After I started looking button bouquets up online- I noticed how quirky, unique, and fun the buttons all were...much like me! They'd be perfect for my wedding.

When it comes to crafts, I've always been more of the "idea" person- so, when it came to my wedding, I had a multitude of ideas. That's where Julie, my matron of honor, came in- she figured out how they could happen, including the button bouquets.

Early on in the making process (4 bridesmaids bouquets, 1 bridal bouquet, 4 wrist corsages, countless buttonieres) we noticed how much time they took. But we also realized how much fun we were having make them!

The wedding was beautiful. The bouquets were so unique and everyone loved them. After the wedding, I wasn't ready to be done with it all. Turns out, I actually LOVED planning the wedding. I especially loved hanging out with my best friend making wedding crafts. At that moment, Button's Up! was born.

Welcome to Buttons Up!

Thanks for stopping by and reading about Buttons Up!

Buttons Up! upcycles vintage buttons to create one-of-a-kind button bouquets and other button-themed wedding accessories. The designers at Buttons Up! hand-select each button for your custom-ordered bouquet, "button-niere", and corsage. Buttons Up! also creates button-themed toss bouquets, garters, flower girl baskets, and ring pillows to round out your wedding party needs.

Buttons Up! is the brainchild of my friend, Liz. Liz had a crazy idea that we could make button bouquets for her wedding. I went along for the ride and together, we created button bouquets, "button-nieres," corsages, a toss bouquet, and button hair combs. Everything turned out great and Liz and Jeff had a beautiful (albeit cold) early October wedding.

Soon after the wedding, Liz had another idea. After emails back and forth and a weekend brunch, Buttons Up! was born. We hope to be up and selling our wares on Etsy by mid-February.

Be sure to follow our progress right here on our blog! We'll keep you posted on how it's going.

Cheers!

Julie
